On March 9, 2021, AAEngineering Group LLP, Kazakhstani EPC Contractor, commissioned Talas Gold Ore Plant at Jerooi mine and handed it over to its Operator, Alliance Altyn LLC.

The design and construction of this facility was implemented from 2018 to 2021.

On March 17, this year, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov started up Talas Gold Ore Plant at Jerooi Mine in Kyrgyzstan. Putin participated in the ceremony via a video call.

Jerooi gold deposit situated in Talas region of Kyrgyzstan was discovered by North Kyrgiz geological expedition in 1968-1969. However, design and survey works and the feasibility study were carried out only 17 years later. That time Kyrgyz SSR was planning to start building a gold mine in Jerooi, but due to the collapse of USSR the project was not implemented.

The mine’s design capacity is 1.3 MTPA.
